スペースサイエンスワールド星取県 (Part2) －基調講演／スペシャルトークセッション－

2021年7月3・4日の両日にわたり，開催されたスペースサイエンスワールド星取県． 前半の Castem 24 remoteリアルタイム観察会を踏まえて， 4日午後には，津田雄一JAXA宇宙科学研究所教授・はやぶさ２プロジェクトマネージャー，稲谷芳文JAXA宇宙科学研究所参与，土井孝雄京都大学特定教授・宇宙飛行士，中村栄三岡山大学特任教授，そして平井伸治鳥取県知事による基調講演／スペシャルトークセッションが開催されました．コロナ禍という状況を踏まえ鳥取市会場同様，無観客という状況でありましたが，出演者が一堂に会し，その状況をYoutubeによるライブ中継という形で全国に向けて発信するという新しいチャレンジでもありました． その結果，ライブ放送において250名を超える同時視聴者数を達成し，今後予定するアーカイブ公開によってさらに多くの方々にご視聴いただけると考えています．
基調講演 ／ スペシャルトークセッション
基調講演／スペシャルトークセッションは，惑星物質研究所ＰＭＬクリーンルームにおいてリュウグウ試料を直接見学いただいた平井鳥取県知事からの挨拶から始まりました．星取県を標榜する鳥取県として鳥取県中部地震（2016年10月28日）により被災したCASTEMへ支援を行ったが，リュウグウ試料のキュレーション解析という素晴らしい研究活動へ繋がっていることへの感嘆と今後の研究発展へのエールをいただきました．
それに引き続き，本学研究担当理事那須保友副学長より，関係者のイベント開催への努力への感謝，惑星研の成り立ちの紹介とともに，本学としてリュウグウ試料解析へ取り組むことについての意気込みについて挨拶が行われました．
次に，はやぶさ2ミッションプロジェクトマネージャーの津田雄一氏より，「はやぶさ２ミッション成功への軌跡」と題し，プロジェクトの一連の経緯について普段聞くことができない裏話や未公開動画を交えての紹介と，プロジェクトを支える「想定外の事態を想定する」，「あきらめない」チームの重要性とそれを支える哲学，さらに日本の惑星探査の将来に関する基調講演が行われました．続けて，「フロンティア精神が拓く未来」と題し，中村栄三氏，稲谷芳文氏，土井隆雄氏によるトークセッションが行われ，中村氏によるリュウグウ試料解析の実施体制と解析の状況の説明に加え，その科学的知見を将来の人類の宇宙利用にどのように生かすのか，というアイディアが示されました．これを受け，稲谷芳文氏より，地球外環境への人類進出に関連して，資源開発，観光，経済など，現実的な視点考察を踏まえた方向性が示され，そして土井隆雄氏による地球外環境における樹木の成長に関する実験的考察とそれの資源化についての講演が行われ，人類の次の一歩となるであろう地球外環境での社会構築が議論されるまたとない機会となりました．
最後に，オンライン視聴者からのチャットを通じた３件の質問に出演者が答えるなど，ライブイベントならではの特徴を生かしたうえで，津田氏より何事にも一歩踏み出すことが大事である，との締めのメッセージをいただきイベントを締めくくることができました．本イベントは，現在惑星物質研究所PMLグループによって進められているリュウグウ試料の総合解析の科学的成果を中核として進められてきました．本イベントは，今後も学術を基盤としたアウトリーチや，未来社会構築に向けた構想をはぐくみ，アカデミズムから人類社会に貢献することの重要性を再認識する良い機会となりました．次回はリュウグウ試料解析の詳細な科学的成果を一般の方々にお伝えできる機会となればと考えています．

Space Science World Hoshitori Prefecture was held on July 3rd and 4th, 2021. Based on the Castem 24 remote real-time observation session in the first half, A special talk session was held on the afternoon of the 4th by Yuichi Tsuda JAXA Institute of Space and Astronautical Science Professor Hayabusa2 Project Manager, Yoshifumi Inatani JAXA Institute of Space and Astronautical Science Advisor, Takao Doi Kyoto University Specified Professor / Astronaut, Eizo Nakamura Okayama University Specially Appointed Professor, and Shinji Hirai Governor of Tottori Prefecture. Based on the situation of COVID-19 calamity, we held the event with no spectators as in the Tottori City venue. It was a new challenge to send the talk session of the performers nationwide by live broadcasting on Youtube. As a result, we have achieved more than 250 simultaneous viewers, and we believe that more people will be able to watch it by releasing the archive in the future.
Keynote Lecture / Special Talk Session
The special talk session began with a greeting from the Governor of Tottori Prefecture Hirai. Governor Hirai was impressed to see the Ryugu sample directly in our clean room of the Institute for Study of the Earth Sciences. Tottori Prefecture, which advocates Hoshitori Prefecture, supported CASTEM, which was damaged by the Tottori-ken Chubu Earthquake (October 28, 2016), leading to a wonderful research activity called curation analysis of Ryugu samples. And we received an ale for future research development.
Following that, Vice President Yasutomo Nasu, Director of Research at Okayama University, expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the people concerned to hold the event, introduced the origins of the Institute for Planetary Materials, and talked about the enthusiasm of the university to work on Ryugu sample analysis.
Next, Yuichi Tsuda, Hayabusa2 Mission Project Manager, introduced the story behind the project and unreleased videos under the title of "The Path to the Success of Hayabusa2 Mission". Tsuda talked about the importance of the "anticipate unexpected situations" and "don't give up" teams, and gave a keynote speech on the future of Japan's planetary exploration.
Next, a talk session was held by Eizo Nakamura, Yoshifumi Inatani, and Takao Doi under the title of "The Future Opened by the Frontier Spirit". Nakamura explained the implementation system of Ryugu sample analysis and the status of analysis, and presented ideas for utilizing the scientific knowledge for future human space utilization.
In response to this, Yoshifumi Inatani showed the direction based on realistic viewpoints such as resource development, tourism, and economy in relation to human advancement into the extraterrestrial environment. Then, Takao Doi gave a lecture on experimental consideration of tree growth in the extraterrestrial environment and its resource recovery. It was a wonderful opportunity to discuss the construction of society in the extraterrestrial environment, which will be the next step for humankind.
Finally, the performers answered three questions through chats from online viewers, making good use of live events. Tsuda sent a closing message saying that it is important to take a step forward in everything.
This event has been centered on the scientific results of the comprehensive analysis of Ryugu samples currently being promoted by the Pheasant Memorial Laboratory. We would like to continue to develop academic-based outreach and ideas for building a future society. It was a good opportunity to reaffirm the importance of contributing to human society from academia. Next time, we hope that it will be an opportunity to convey the detailed scientific results of Ryugu sample analysis to the general public.
